Exercise Good for the Skin

Daily exercise can be extremely beneficial to your overall skin health and can also help clear it of acne too.

Regular exercise increases the flow of blood and oxygen to the skin cells. When you sweat, your body expels toxins through the skin with ease from the opened pores. Sweating effectively cleans the pores from dirt, dead skin cells and excess sebum.

When you exercise, your kidneys and liver work more effectively in removing toxins from the body. Stress is also reduced from exercise and both of these are known causes of acne.

It is a good idea after exercising to take a shower. This washes away the sweat and any other waste material ejected from the body. It also prevents the growth of bacteria which is attracted to sweat.

After exercise be sure to drink plenty of water. Water is essential for ridding the body of toxins and to replace all the water lost from sweating. Acne has been shown to occur in people who aren't drinking enough water.

Almost all exercises are great and the more you sweat the better. Walking, jogging, cycling, swimming and team sports are all suitable. If you can, try to exercise outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine.

Swimming is excellent due to being in water which helps to fully cleanse the pores. It is important to rinse yourself after swimming to clean off the chlorine on your body which can leave your skin really dry.

One of the best exercises for acne is using a mini-trampoline. Jumping on a mini-tramp is beneficial for your lymphatic system. Your lymph is controlled by movement and operates best when exercising.

The lymph provides the cells with the nutrients it needs and is also responsible for removing and eliminating cell waste and toxins. If the lymph is insufficiently activated, the cells swim in their own waste which can block pores and when bacteria starts to grow in blocked pores it causes acne.

It has been reported that rebounding can increase the flow of your lymph by up to 30 times. It has also been stated that rebounding is possibly the best exercise ever invented because it has so many benefits.

Not only does exercise benefit the skin, it also has emotional and mental benefits. It is good for stress relief as stated earlier but also good for keeping the mind focused and active. Apart from exercise, proper sleep and relaxation are also good for reducing stress.

How to Prevent acne in 10 steps!!

1. WASH YOUR FACE TWICE A DAY - This is very important because even at night when your sleeping tons of bacteria can easily form and your face deserves to be treated just like your body in the shower. Although washing your face is extremely healthy, Never wash your face more than twice a day because your face needs its natural oils.

2. YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT- This is 100% true, Acne is your body trying to tell you there is something wrong going on. Most people think that acne only forms on the surface but its 50/50. Most acne is hormone caused. Eating a healthy diet with lots of greens will help. In the picture you will see Cocoa, it is chocolate without all the sugars added. Other foods great for the skin are spinach, almonds, green tea, and soy such as tofu! my personal favorite!

3.DOES DRINKING WATER CLEAR ACNE - Drinking water does not clear acne but it helps speed the process so much. Water is important because it flushes away all of the unneeded toxins in your body. Also if you drink a lot of water you will start to notice your skin feeling less rough and more on the smooth side. If Water bores you, I would suggest adding a cucumber a lemon, or honey to add flavor to it. They suggest 8 glasses of water per day for good health.

4. WASHING YOUR PILLOWS - Although you cannot tell but pillow cases can actually get very filthy over night. Washing your pillow cases at least once a week will help reduce your acne.

5. AVOIDING TOUCHING YOUR FACE - Avoiding touching your face will help so much because there are so many unnatural oils on your hands. If you have an itch always make sure you wash your hands. This will make a huge difference how your face reacts everyday.

6.RELAX - Believe it or not stress can actually cause acne. Anytime you feel stressed, relax, lay down and read a book or watch your favorite movie. Practice Yoga, exercise or go for a massage. This will change not only the way your face looks but how your whole body feels.

7. CHOOSING MAKEUP - Always make sure a product is oil free and non cosmogenic. I prefer minerals versus liquid but if you enjoy liquid products i would recommend: Prescriptives oil free foundation or clinique oil free foundation. For mineral Makeup i would recommend Laura Mercier or everyday minerals.

8. CHOOSING THE RIGHT SKIN CARE - Choosing the right skin care line can be difficult, especially because everyone has different kind of skin. I mix my products i will never order all of the same line.I am currently using:
Purity made simple by Philosophy - I love this cleanser, it makes my skin smooth and reduces my acne and always takes off all my makeup
Mario Badescu- Buttermilk moisturizer
Patricia Wexler- Acne serum
Murad- Acne Vitamins

9. VITAMINS - Vitamins are a great add on if you have acne and do not believe in the use of over counter drugs. Vitamins are important because they balance your hormones and controls what is causing your acne inside your body. You will see a difference.

10. BE PATIENT - When using a product line, make sure you give it a chance for at least a month before giving it the boot.

Does water really fight against acne?

The answer is no. Drinking water sounds good in theory, which is likely why the belief that our bodies need eight glasses of water daily continues to perpetuate. But the idea that drinking eight glasses of water is essential for having clear skin and good health is not accurate. This widely accepted reasoning has been debunked by the scientific community because there is no evidence to back it up.

Factors that can affect acne outbreaks include stress, hormone imbalances, and digestive disorders.
Since we don't have to keep track of our daily water consumption or feel guilty for not drinking enough water this doesn't mean water should be eliminated from our diets. It is still important to drink water.

Obviously, for anyone desiring a healthier diet, water would be the preferred beverage choice over caffeinated drinks or high-fructose sodas. Go ahead and reach for the water bottle or turn on the water faucet to treat yourself to a refreshing glass of water whenever you're thirsty.
